GIT Academy is opening a new intake for its MOTAC and JPK-certified Tourist Guide Course, the Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) Level 3 qualification required to become a licensed tourist guide in Malaysia.
The course covers tour itinerary execution, tour commentary delivery, Malaysian history, culture and tourism products, and customer service and emergency handling, taught by experienced tourism trainers. Classes are available in English, Malay or Chinese, both in person at GIT Academy’s Kuala Lumpur campus and online.
Financing options include withdrawal from KWSP Account 2, PTPK government study loans from as low as RM85 a month, and 0% interest instalment plans over 6 or 12 months, making the course accessible to school leavers, working adults and retirees alike.
Graduates receive the Tourist Guide License from MOTAC upon completing the course, passing written and practical examinations, and the mandatory Mesra Malaysia course, opening career paths with tour operators, travel agencies, hotels, or as freelance guides.
Seats for the upcoming intake are limited. Interested candidates can find full eligibility requirements and course details on the Tourist Guide Course page.
