Nihao! China Travel Fair 2026

From 12 to 14 June 2026, GIT Academy Tourist Guide Course students gained real industry exposure at the “Nihao! China” Travel Fair (Malaysia), held at the Pavilion Exhibition Centre Bukit Jalil (Level 5, Pink Zone). Twenty-two students and staff took part, working alongside the event organisers as part of GIT Academy’s ongoing industry involvement initiative.

Now in its third year running, “Nihao! China” is Malaysia’s largest China-focused travel fair, organised by the Malaysia-China Folklore Culture Tourism Association (MCCTA) with support from the Chinese Embassy in Malaysia and Tourism Malaysia. This year’s edition featured Qinghai Province as the official Host Province, alongside airlines including China Eastern, Air Macau, Jiangxi Air and China United, plus major Malaysian travel agencies and tour operators.

Rather than observing from the sidelines, GIT Academy students were directly involved in the fair’s on-ground operations — giving them a first-hand look at how a major international travel fair actually runs. GIT Academy extends its thanks to MCCTA for the opportunity.

Through direct participation in an event of this scale, students were able to interact with real tourism industry professionals, observe current market trends, sharpen their customer service skills, and connect what they’ve learned in the classroom with the practical demands of the tourism industry — exactly the kind of real-world exposure that sets GIT Academy’s Tourist Guide Course apart.
