Putrajaya Cycling Fun
On 6 December 2025, GIT Academy Tourist Guide Course students headed to Putrajaya for a hands-on Putrajaya Cycling Fun activity, led by trainers Dr Samantha Yap and Dr Kenny Khan, with 22 students and staff taking part.
Students explored Putrajaya’s landmark boulevards, bridges and lakeside scenery by e-bike, experiencing first-hand a tourism product that has become a signature way to explore Malaysia’s administrative capital — the Putrajaya KL E-Bike route.
Beyond the fun of the ride itself, the session was designed to build teamwork and camaraderie among students, while giving them practical exposure to an increasingly popular tourism product that guides may recommend or lead for visiting groups. Understanding a destination from the saddle — pacing a group, managing safety on shared paths, and weaving in commentary on the sights along the way — is a different skill set from a walking tour, and one more Malaysian destinations are building their tourism offerings around.
Activities like this round out GIT Academy’s Tourist Guide Course, giving students real experience with the variety of tourism products they may need to guide visitors through once licensed.
